Mountain Gorilla in Bwindi Gorilla Forest
This is a 5 days Uganda Gorilla Safari taking you for gorilla tracking as well as wildlife viewing in Uganda’s 2 protected areas. The safari will start with a wildlife game viewing safari that will take place in Queen Elizabeth National park. Queen Elizabeth National Park has a diverse Eco-system composed of savanna grassy plains and woodlands, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes. It is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife and it is probably the highest biome conservation area in the world. The game drives in this park are excellent with high opportunities to see lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, cape buffaloes, elephants, Defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kobs, Topi and bush bucks. The massive Mountains of the moon provide stunning scenery while a sunset on the Kazinga channel is unique and memorable. backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see.
The safari will later take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which is located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the western rift valley. This tropical moist tropical natural forest is a habitat for the sought-after mountain gorillas. This forest is home to half of the world's population of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas. Looking into the deep blue eyes of these World giants from this montane forest is the climax of the gorilla safari yet the walk that will lead to an encounter with these endangered creatures is quite memorable and unforgettable.

SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 01: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our safari guide will pick you from your hotel and drive you westwards. You will have a stopover at the Equator for photos, and later continue with the drive through volcanic formations of the Western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. After checking in from the lodge, you will be taken for a brief game drive where you will see a number of animals grazing most especially antelopes. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Lodge
Day 02: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with an early game drive to catch up with the early risers and possibly predators returning to their hide outs. The drive will take you through diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps and lakes habituating lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, cape buffaloes, elephants, Defassa waterbucks, handsome Uganda Kob, Topi and bush bucks. Return to the Lodge for dinner and visit the community salt works at Lake Katwe. After lunch, proceed to the Kazinga channel for a launch cruise through the area with the highest concentration of hippos. Sum up your day with another fantastic evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya/Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 03: Maramagambo & Bwindi Gorilla Forest
After breakfast, drive to Maramagambo Forest for a guided nature walk. This forest is a home to a number of primates including chimpanzees. A visit to the Bat Colony and the “Blue Lake" is interesting while the stories about the medicinal trees in this forest are worthy to please your ear. After exploring this forest we shall drive through the "Switzerland of Africa" passing through terraced hillside and winding roads to Kisoro or Bwindi. Dinner/overnight at Buhoma Homestead
Day 04: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a short briefing before tracking the mountain gorillas. Entry into the deep moist rainforest of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas that reside deep in the forest. while on the search you may also discover different hidden treasures with in this forest which include the rare golden monkey, buffaloes, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs among others. After tracking, you cam visit the local communities or decide to go a bird walk through the forest. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Homestead.
Day 05: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for Lunch.
