Mountain Gorillas - Susa Group
Mountain Gorillas - Susa Group Bwindi Forest

This 11 Days Ugandan Jungle Tour starting and finishing in Kampala. This safari can also be tailored for you on a private basis. This safari will involve you touring the best Ugandan destinations in the western part of the country. These include Kibale tropical moist forest which has the highest concentration of primates in Africa as well as the unique tree species such as the Naked Adam and Eve. Viewing the chimpanzees as well as walking through the forest is quite a memorable experience.

This safari will take you to Queen Elizabeth National park which is composed of an open savannah, tropical rainforest, dense papyrus swamps and brooding crater lakes. The park has almost 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species. Therefore this is an ideal place for game viewing as well as birding. Animals to be seen include elephants, a profusion of hippos, the elusive giant forest hogs and handsome Uganda kobs which can be regularly sighted around the tourist village of the Mweya Peninsula.

Semiliki national park is another destination covered by an overwhelming beauty. Situated in a remote corner of southwestern Uganda, the park protects an eastern extension of the vast Ituri Forest and forms part of a forest continuum that stretches across the present day Democratic Republic of Congo to the Zaire River. The park is blessed with a large number of predominantly Central African species, spectacular hot springs and sought-after birds such as; Congo Serpent Eagle, Long-tailed Hawk, Nkulengu Rail, Black-wattled Hornbill and Lyre-tailed Honey guide.

Visiting and seeing some of the last remaining 700 mountain gorillas in the world from Bwindi is quite a wonderful and memorable experience which you should not miss. Gorilla tracking will take place in Bwindi Impenetrable National where four habituated families of mountain gorillas can be found. These endangered primates live and thrive in this thicker tropical forest. Tracking in Bwindi is however more challenging as the hillsides are steeper. On the safari you will also go for nature walks to see birds, monkeys and orchids as well as visits to local African communities.

On this Uganda Jungle Tour, clients stay 1 night at Mantana Mburo Camp and 2nights at Bwindi Camp
