Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our friendly representative who will assist you with your transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe. This evening, you can relax and recover from your journey at your hotel, enjoying a leisurely dinner and perhaps taking a stroll along the shores of Lake Victoria. Entebbe, with its lush gardens and serene environment, is the perfect introduction to Uganda.

Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive through the heart of Uganda, heading towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This journey offers you a glimpse into the diverse landscapes of Uganda, including terraced hills, lush forests, and traditional villages. Arriving at Bwindi, you will check into your lodge, nestled on the edge of the forest, providing an authentic and immersive experience in this renowned gorilla habitat.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Today is the highlight of your safari – gorilla trekking. Early in the morning, after a nutritious breakfast, you’ll meet your guide and set off into the dense forest of Bwindi. This adventure involves trekking through thick vegetation and hilly terrain, but the effort is rewarded with an unforgettable encounter with one of the world’s most endangered species – the mountain gorillas. Spending an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is a truly humbling experience. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and evening meal.

Day 4: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following breakfast, you’ll travel from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular national park. The drive will take you through stunning scenery, including lush highlands and vast savannahs. Arriving at Queen Elizabeth, you’ll check into your lodge, which offers spectacular views of the park’s diverse landscapes. Enjoy an evening at leisure, with the option to relax at the lodge or take a brief evening game drive.

Day 5: Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Start with a morning game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a plethora of bird species. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, including hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth to Kibale Forest National Park and Afternoon Chimpanzee Tracking

After breakfast, you’ll journey to Kibale Forest National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and lush rainforest. Arriving in Kibale, check into your lodge and prepare for an afternoon of chimpanzee tracking. Kibale is home to one of the highest densities of primates in Africa, and tracking chimpanzees through the forest is an exhilarating experience. You’ll spend an hour observing these fascinating creatures, learning about their behavior and conservation.

Day 7: Kibale to Murchison Falls National Park – Visit the Top of the Falls

Today, you’ll head towards Murchison Falls National Park, a journey that offers views of Uganda’s diverse landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and then visit the iconic Murchison Falls, where the Nile River dramatically forces its way through a narrow gorge. The view from the top of the falls is breathtaking, and you’ll have the opportunity to appreciate the sheer power and beauty of this natural wonder.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Safari to the Bottom of the Falls

Your day begins with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, where you’ll have the chance to see a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, lions, and buffaloes. After your game drive, return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat safari on the Nile River. This boat trip takes you to the base of Murchison Falls, offering a unique perspective of the falls and opportunities to spot more wildlife, such as hippos and crocodiles, along the riverbanks.

Day 9: Murchison Falls to Entebbe

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Entebbe. The drive will take you through picturesque Ugandan countryside, giving you one last chance to enjoy the country’s beautiful scenery. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you’ll have time to do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport for your onward flight, concluding your memorable 09 Days Classic Uganda Safari.
