Kampala Jinja City Tour - 3 Days Kampala and Jinja City Tour

This is a 3 days safari which starts and finishes in Kampala. The safari will start with visits to the cultural sites which include Twekobe, Bulange-Buganda’s senate, and Kasubi royal tombs-UNESCO’s-World heritage site. Religious tours will also be made to the Bahai Temple-the only Mother temple of the Bahai faith in Africa and Namugongo Uganda Martyrs’ Basilica, a place where 22 brave Ugandan martyrs were burnt to ashes.

The safari will also take you to Mabira Ecotourism site. Straddling at the Jinja road, the Mabira forest supports a wide variety of flora and fauna specie.

The forest has over 300 bird species such as Tit Hylia, Nahan’s Francolin, Cassin Hawk Eagle, the Forest Wood hoope, the Purple throated Cuckoo, the Red Headed Blue Bill, the Black bellied Seed Cracker, the Shining Blue Kingfisher and the Blue headed Crested Monarc, 312 tree specie such as endangered Cordia Millenii, Mililia Exclesa, the Warbhugia Ugandanesis, a plant specie with medicinal properties and is known to cure over forty ailments. Other unique features of the reserve include 218 Butterfly species, 97 Moth Species, 23 Small Mammal and the Spectacular Griffin Falls.

From Jinja you will see the Source of the Nile, the roaring Bujagali Falls, as well as rafting over the 5 grade rapids of the Mighty Nile.

Kampala & Jinja City Tour itinerary

Day 1 – Kampala City Tour

After a meeting with our tour guide in the morning, you will be taken on a drive to explore the hidden treasures of Kampala city. Visit the magnificent Twekobe, Kabaka’s official residence and the Bulange Royal senate. Proceed to the Kasubi Tombs, a world’s heritage site where four past Kabakas (kings) of Buganda kingdom are buried. This original, traditional Ugandan hut, built using traditional technologies is perhaps the biggest found in Africa. Continue to the Bahai temple, the only temple of the Bahai faith in Africa. The temple welcomes everybody from all religions. Mediate in silence to the Lord as you tour this beautiful house of worship! Lunch in Kampala and then connect to the Namugongo Uganda Martyrs’ Basilica where 22 Ugandan martyrs were burnt to ashes without denouncing their faith. Transfer to Mabira Ecotourism site for an overnight at the Forest.

Day 2 – Mabira forest Tour

After breakfast have a short but informative interpretation about the forest and its features. Take a forest walk through this huge and beautiful forest. The forest guide will guide you through tree identification in the forest. Have lunch. Relax at the picnic site as we prepare to transfer to Jinja. Dinner and Overnight at your preferred hotel in Jinja

Day 3 Jinja white water rafting Trip

After breakfast try out the wonderful experience of the white water rafting over the high grade rapids of the Mighty River Nile. These high grade rapids make rafting to be among the best adventure activities that can be taken in the world. Visit the Source of the Nile, a place where the waters of the Nile start their 3 months journey ending in the Mediterranean Sea. Take a drive around Jinja town observing the local people’s lifestyles, as well as old style buildings of the Asians. Return to Kampala arriving late in the evening
